Master’s Thesis

During the fourth semester the students write a master’s thesis based on original research carried out at one of the HEI partners or in an industrial internship. Depending on the topic and the student’s interests, it is possible to tailor the thesis work towards start-up creation and/or towards scientific publication.

The thesis will be written and defended in English. The thesis defense lasts for 60 minutes, including questions. It is evaluated jointly. Three lecturers from HEIs different from the one in which the student did his/her work will evaluate the dissertation beforehand. The jury will be composed of one member from each partner, one associate academic partner, and one associate industrial partner. The marks from the oral presentation and written evaluation are then averaged out to give a final mark. Grade harmonization will be performed if defenses are organized as parallel sessions.
