The DEAI programme offers several funding options, including DEAI scholarships and self-funded admission. All applicants undergo a rigorous academic selection process; however, scholarship availability is limited and funding is awarded based on eligibility and final ranking.

Scholarships
Full DEAI Scholarship
The Full DEAI Scholarship provides comprehensive financial support:
- Participation Costs: Full coverage of tuition fees, including full insurance coverage for the duration of the programme.
- Living Expenses: A monthly grant of **€1,400** for the duration of the programme (up to 24 months).
Eligibility Note: Applicants who have previously received an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) scholarship are not eligible for a full DEAI scholarship.
Partial DEAI Scholarship
The Partial DEAI Scholarship covers:
- Tuition fees: Full coverage of all DEAI participation costs
Not covered: Living Expenses, i.e., no monthly allowance is provided. Students are responsible for covering their own travel and living expenses.
DEAI Self-Funded Admission
Applicants who are academically selected but do not receive a scholarship are invited to join the DEAI programme as self-funded students. We encourage these candidates to explore national grants, employer sponsorships, or external regional funding to support their studies.
DEAI self-funded students:
- Are fully integrated into the DEAI cohort with the same academic rights.
- Follow the same curriculum and research requirements as scholarship holders.
- Graduate with the same prestigious DEAI degree upon successful completion.
Tuition Fees (Self-Funded Students)
Tuition fees (participation costs) cover all academic expenses, registration, and student insurance. These fees are set based on the student’s residency status:
- EU Students: €4,500 per academic year
- Non-EU Students: €9,000 per academic year
Additional Information
If you are not awarded an Erasmus Mundus scholarship, you may wish to explore the Skills & Education Guarantee (S&E) scheme. This is not a scholarship, but a loan initiative supported by the European Union.
Through this scheme, selected banks may offer student loans backed by an EU guarantee, which can make it easier to access financing for your studies. Please note that any loan is agreed directly between you and the bank, and must be repaid according to the bank’s conditions. The DEAI programme is not involved in the loan application or repayment process.
