The DEAI consortium has successfully completed the selection of the first cohort of Erasmus Mundus scholarship recipients for the Joint Master in Data Engineering & Artificial Intelligence (DEAI), which will launch in Fall 2026.
Following a two-day selection meeting held in Barcelona, the selection committee reviewed close to 3,000 applications from candidates worldwide. From this highly competitive pool, 25 scholarship holders were selected for the first intake of the programme.
The committee was impressed by the exceptional quality, diversity, and motivation of the applicants, highlighting the strong international interest in advanced training in data engineering and artificial intelligence.
This milestone marks an important step towards the launch of DEAI in Fall 2026. The consortium is now moving into the final phase of programme preparation.
